A man is to appear in court after allegedly trying to sell cannabis to the chief of police in the south London borough of Lambeth.
It is alleged that acting commander Chief Supt Brian Moore was approached by a man after he left work at Brixton on Wednesday evening.
The officer was wearing civilian clothes when the alleged incident happened.
Donald Platt, 52, a car valeter of no fixed address, will appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court on Friday.
He is charged with offering to supply a Class B drug, possessing an offensive weapon with intent and criminal damage to a watch belonging to Chief Supt Moore.

Any amount of illegal substance can get you arrested for supply if you give it to someone else. You do not have to sell it, just a benevolent act to a friend (such as passing a spliff)is enough and although only a small amount may be necessary, if it has an adverse effect on the recipient, there are serious consequences in relation to supplying and administering noxious substances.
Virtually all seized substances and porn are incinerated.

By the way, this guy is positively a genius compared to a guy in the states who attempted to purchase some drugs off a dealer. Not that strange you might think, however said dealer was bent over the front of a marked police car with a police officer pointing a gun to his head and reading him his rights.. The look on the cops face was priceless...all seen through the in car camera thing on a cops show once...
