"Petrolheads is the new BBC panel game show along the lines of "Have I Got News For You" - but about cars and all things car-related!

The show is to be hosted by Neil Morrissey with one of the team captains being Richard Hammond from Top Gear. Other top celebrity guests to be confirmed.

It will be a humorous look at the world of cars, testing the panellists' knowledge of motoring.

If you are into cars, loads of fun and celebrity guests, then this is the show for you

Wonder what this will be like then? Applied for tickets already...

Let's hope it's better than "Mock The Week" which was shown on Sunday - a sort of panel game between so-called comedians, all of whom had to be not in the least bit funny.

It sounds to me like another cheap panel game with F-list celebrities who will answer some humorous questions about cars.

It will probably adopt the common format of being stupid, have an arbitrary awarding of points and where the host decides who will win on a whim.

We petrolheads take these things seriously. Make it like "A Question Of Sport" and keep it deadly competitive.

If it's like "Never Mind The Buzzcocks", I can hardly wait...to switch over.

The first show was filmed a couple of months ago - I know I had ticket but was turned away because too many people were in the queue ahead of me

Filming of the first episode was interesting,

It looks from what we saw, there was definitely enough material there for an interesting and quite funny show. Will have to see though, this will live or die on the editing. BTW anyone know when this is on? Had near front seats at the end of the row, so would be nice to point at the TV and say "Thats me that is!" (Yes yes, tragic I know, but still...)

Leo Sayer?

I'm surprised you "won't let the show go on"

You must have had thunder in your heart when they turned you away.

I'll get me coat.
