Too right. Trouble is I missed the first ten minutes 'cos I was on here - lost track of the time.

Superb stuff, totally cringeworthy.

"you're cramping my style"

I'm wondering if channel four are going to have to put another apology up for Peter Kay's portrayal of Keith Lard, the fire officer who interferes with dogs (on now).

They did! They had to apologise to Keith Laird again.

quote:

As well as sharing a similar name, Mr Laird pointed out that the character had a bushy moustache much like his own, wore the same luminous yellow safety jacket and had a penchant for quoting one of Mr Laird's favourite sayings: "It's not fire that kills - it's ignorance." Mr Laird, 45, said colleagues had nicknamed him "Woof Woof", a reference to the fictional fire officer's fetish for dogs.

"This isn't a witch hunt....."

Top stuff 'cos everyone works with someone that they think is similar (I know I do) only problem comes when everyone thinks it's you.....

Class show, and having lived in Slough and worked on the trading estate I can wholeheartedly say that not only is it funny but completely accurate!

Matt.

I know, I went off topic early on in the thread because I commented on the office during the commercial break half way through Peter Kay. Sorry.

Utterly superb; the boy Ricky has indeed created a character of Fawltyesque pretensions (although Bas-well will forever stand alone as THE great loon).

The cringeworthiness is compelling but whether intended or not, I also love the way it depicts the angry humourlessness of the PC mob; trying SO hard to be 'outraged' by the superb purility of the BC joke...

An observational masterpiece par excellence!
