damned good question, Den.. wtf?

Still, you could always watch UK OldGit, UK Cardigan or UK Austin-Maxi which all seem to have retained their places on the transponder..

I overtook a Morris Ital today.

It was in fantastic condition (if you can call an Ital's condition fantastic to start with) but being driven in typical numptie style - 35mph in a 60 zone.

Where was I, oh yeah, UK Whatsit.

Sorry, I don't watch that s*#?e, wouldn't know where to find it anyway.

UK Play ceased transmission on September 30th

All programming has now been switched to UK Gold and UK Gold 2

UK play was part of the UKTV Network which includes UK Gold, UK Gold 2, UK Drama, UK Horizons, UK Horizons, UK Food and UK Style. A major shareholder is the good old Beeb.

You'd never tell, what with all the BBC programmes that are shown!

(PS Not knocking it - the Blackadder weekend a few weeks back was priceless!)

Try turning off the power to the Sky Box, and then let it search for the channels again! (Sky One vanished just before the Simpsons the other week... but thankfully this appraoch sorted it!)

It was £1.66, based on your current subscrption charge.

Pah !! Them ?? Well, at least it wasn't aimed at minorities, or minors for that matter. I swear, the sum total of their non terrestrial output is what ? Well, allow me to enlighten you: BBC Choice (big deal, chance to show repeats), a load of kids channels, a film channel that shows films so old you can see through your television, News 24 and BBC Parliament. Which doesn't show pictures. Great.

What's the licence fee for then ? Talk about catering for the few. Summed up nicely last week by some controller job only being advertised in some hideous lefty rag - quite clear who they wanted for that then - some lentil munching scab will no doubt dictate our future lack of listening pleasure.

I can't wait. Pass the remote control, someone ?

Choice is disappearing next year to make way for BBC3 or something - starting to get a bit to Austin Powers for me what with BBC4 out there as well...

Actually, more like £1.33!
