Thought it might be good to "come clear" about our dubious pasts...

Whats the most embarrassing you've actually owned and driven yourself?

Over the years, I can own up to:

Austin Allegro 1500 Series 2 :o
MG Maestro 2.0 EFi
Mark IV Zodiac Executive

Austin Maestro 1.6L. My mother passed it down when she gota new car. I was young and stupid and I spun it once on a dual carriageway, fortunately without incident.

(and, of course, my current one if brucie is to be believed).

Don't be so hard on yourself! It's not chav, because it's a good car.

Ford Cortina Mk2. seriously barried. Painted( with a brush ) in VW orange with a black bonnet and a shed load of instruments all over the place, none of them working. It was a 1300 and I thought I was the King when driving it/her/him. People used to point at the car wherever I went, realise now they were laughing at it!! I was obviously a 1970s Barr Boy.

I had a Montego EFi and it was the nicest handling saloon car I've yet owned.

My most embarrasing car was probably my rather gutless 1.6 Ford Orion.

My first car - a 4 door, 1.6 vauxhall chevette. Now, I know it was sky blue. My mates, rather uncharitably I thought, told me it was 'spastic blue', like the 3-wheeler cars. Didn't matter, I thought it was a fanny magnet And it was, albeit with reverse polarity.

All right, I'll come clean.

I haven't have the nerve to list it on my profile, yet, but I once had a :cough: BMW as a company car.

They didn't give me a choice, though, M'lud. It just came with the job.
