Bet this gave the driver a fright? Admittedly, probably not as much the pheasant :hehe:

Bet that was a shock, getting a face full of pheasant entrails.
Well done for not creaming the car into a barrier is what I say.

Yuck. Wouldn't fancy the valeting job on that.

A friend once told me about somebody he knew who had hit a pigeon with his XK150 while travelling at about 115 mph. The bird hit the top of the windscreen and I understand the damage was quite spectacular. I gather the driver retained control of the car so things could have been much worse.

Question: Is this sort of hazard a good enough reason for avoiding high speed driving? I say it isn't, but what say you?

Best wishes all,
Dave.

I know someone who had that happen to him in a brand-spanking-new-driving-it-home-from-the-dealer Vauxhall Corsa. He turned round, took it back and got a brand new one straight away.
