Well, that's it, innit? The TVR will be gorn by the weekend.

So, I'm now proud to apply for my membership of the "momentum is everything" club, being resigned, for now, to driving a piece of Fecking Italian Automotive Trash... a 1993 Tipo 1.4ie. With a humourous "S" badge on each wing.

As soon as I know what the *hell* is happening in the I.T. world, I'll see about getting something that actually accelerates, rather than just catching the wind.

For the moment though, I'll be enjoying fuel economy (38mpg!), understeer (underwhat?), practicality (you mean I can take stuff to the tip in this?), a really crappy driving position, steering wheel like a london bus, and the feeling that I'm not quite steering as offering general guidance.

If you drive a TVR and get a flash and a wave from a blue Tipo with a silly antenna mounted on the back, it'll be me. Take pity, won't you?

Maybe you can contact Chassis and ask if you can fit one of his Punto-Ferrari engines to your Tipo?

You can take stuff to the tip in a TVR, my Tuscan did hedge cuttings and bits of wood. Can't understand why I got such odd looks though.

Followed a 911 cab into the tip last week, top down, driver surrounded by bags of garden. 10/10 for practicality.

...because normally when you see a TVR with bits of wood and hedge all over, they're stuck and unable to move?!?!?

Just a minute...

That means you actually managed to SELL a TVR!

And at this time of year!!!

How did you manage that (without tears at how much money you lost)?

But I was carefully avoiding thinking about the price it went for...
