I need to nip over to France at some point in November to stock up on wine and beer. Where do I find a very cheap crossing (car and two people)?

TIA

I do this every few months - if you go on the Chunnel it's £17 return if you go after 18:00 and return before 02:00. Check out the chunnel website 'special offers'

check out this page and choose the evening sailing (just click on it)

If you're planning on hitting Cite Europe avoid Sundays - There's just a couple of cafes and a Threshers open, surrounded by bemused day trippers saying "...but Lakeside manages to open on a Sunday...."

I saw them on return from hols.

Have spoken to the theives. They'll charge the full rate back onto your card if you fail to make the return ferry! SCREWED!

How the **** can they do that? Surely they can't just bill your card without permission?

You're booking far enough in advance - pay by cheque & tell them you have no credit cards..

I've found a couple of day returns for about £28, why not get two of them, still only £48.
