liberal parenting

Is this what leads to voicemails to teachers such as "hi steve, you are going to die. I'm going to stick a knife in the back of your head" and "You have 5 days to live"?
Well done to the parents for producing such respectful kids.
Rightfully so, the teachers are gonna go on strike unless the kids are forced to fvck off.
How to resolve situation? Force each child to stick knives in back of parents heads then each other.

:wishfulthinking:Doesn't sound like any parenting is going on at all, liberal or otherwise!
I would say
the bastards, but unfortunately I have come to realise
that these little scroats are the people who will be paying taxes for me to retire on my pension
. After such a reflection I can only suggest forced labour.

No! These kids are the thieving pikeys of the future!
They'll be the ones that'll be nicking your car for fun, or mugging you on your way back from collecting your pension.
I agree with forced labour though!
The kids that should be paying your pension can't concentrate on learning because of these to
rs. Therefore what will become of our ecconomy? >> Edited by nmlowe on Thursday 10th October 20:34
maybe parents need to be taught that they are responsible for disciplining their kids. a lot of parents seem to think that "teacher" means "discipliner". reality is that it means the teacher has to waste time talking to 1 disruptive idiot rather than spending time teaching the 29 other kids, therefore the 29 other kids are punished cos of one kid's lazy, useless parent.
(my wife was an unrespected, underpaid teacher...
I told her she could earn twice as much and work 1/4 as hard in IT... she took my advice

Not!!!
I don't bloody blame her.. I've got a couple of relatives who are/were teachers and they've both been glad to get out - not even for more money.. just out..
It's a terrible state of affairs.. I'm 29 and by the time I was 21 I was looking back and saying "I'm so lucky - it looks like I got the last decent state education going.. "
In fact, I could see it deteriorating in real time as I went through 6th form..

IMHO they should make Parents attend classes before letting them breed. It is a full time job and call me old fashioned but I believe that one parent should stay at home to look after the children until they are at secondary school. I know lots of people say they 'need' two incomes but I am sure if they could survive with a cheap holiday in the UK - I did and I still go back to the place in Devon where I went on holiday as a kid and the great thing is that it hasn't changed all that much.
I see one of the kids parents was on GMTV this morning, whinging that her son had a right to an education! The cheek of it! It's not surprising kids grow up with no discipline if they can actually send death threats to a teacher, get expelled for it, only to have the government (or whoever it was) send them back to school and their parents be invited on TV to protest that their kids are being punished!
With those sort of messages being given out I think the parents should be punished as well for "encouraging" their kids to misbehave, as they are clearly not discouraging them.

My wife is a reception teacher, they have a number of children at the school who are very violent and hit the teachers and the teachers can do nothing at all about it, not even in self defence.
Also when she tells the kids off (my wife is very easy going and the kids love her so it does not happen very much) she gets the parents in the next day telling her off for telling the kids off.
She works on average a 10 hour day plus at least a day at weekends, planning, assessing, marking. Has the stress of Ofstead (the school failed a couple of years ago) and the pressure from little Timmy's mother and her 30 friends who despite being harpies and fishwives has a far better idea of early years education than my wife who only trained for 4 years.
Still she gets really well paid for all the extra hours and grief ..NOT
The thing is she loves teaching kids, it's the rest of the shit they have to put up with, lack of resources, no support from the government, constantly changing standards and benchmarks, know it all parents and unruly, ill behaved little shits, which pisses her off.

Sorry

And whats even more annoyoing. We live behind a school, last week some dopey git after dropping little Tabetha off at guides drove into the Cerbera and then drove off without mentioning it to me.

The mother of one of these little angels was on the Today programme this morning, bleating on about how it was all a bit of boyish fun, and how dare the school over-react like this, didn't they know its his GCSE year, a biggger boy did it and ran away etc. etc. etc. Tough titty, the kid was fifteen, screwed up and now has to face the consequences. The teacher is now off sick due to the stress of it all and may not be able to teach again, the headmaster and school governers decided to exclude the kids, and then an independant commitee without one day of classroom experience between them decided to over rule them. This only made the news as Estelle Morris, an ex-teacher, got to hear of this and decided to try and do something about it, even though technically she has no power to affect the outcome.Good on her, I say, in future at least one teacher must sit on the exclusion board. A rare bit of common sense.
So does anyone have this kid's mother's mobile number? I have a few free texts left
"Oh, sorry, love, it was just a prank, like."
Seriously tho if the mother said to me "my son has a right to an education", i'd have said "not any more he doesn't"
As for parents whingeing at teachers, if I was the teacher I'd tell them where to go: if they have a problem they should speak to the headmaster/mistress (after several OTT complains the head will learn to ignore the parent for being a twat). Otherwise go back to watching GMTV.
It really is time to educate parents/parents-to-be... what with a shortage of teachers cos of low pay and generally poor working conditions, there will be no decent teachers left (graduates will be attracted to the decent jobs) and then parents will really have something to complain about.

The problem here is with the appeal committee. If they had done the right thing, and disallowed the appeal, who would have noticed? But, by allowing this ridiculous appeal, they have suddenly made themselves important.
Wanting to be important, a form of attention seeking, is a social disease which has spread throughout society. You can see examples of it everywhere- tribunals that award women soldiers who become pregnant huge sums of money should the Army be so foolish as to sack them, inspectors of this and that who produce controversial reports into all sorts of stuff, etc etc etc. I could go on---

If the kid misbehaves in this way, remove child benefit money immediately. If the little
can behave for 6months re-instate, and so on..
Perhaps then some parents would 'discover' how to teach their children some respect and manners.
Also, any parent who threatens a teacher is done for assault, and the NUT immediately pay for a private prosecution also.
That may make the parents think twice too.
If the child is expelled from two schools, then deduct money from child benefits to help pay for their 'special needs'
If the child makes Death Threats or Hits a teacher more than once, then jail one parent for one week. See if they can instill a little more discipline that way.
Teachers need help, they need to be able to control kids (within reason of course) and we need to make this namby pamby govt full of looney twats see that for the sake of the whole country. Not everyone will agree with my Liberal Views..

It's just another example of our society's belief that we all have rights, but no responsibilities to society. And it is also cultured by the ridiculous "cult of the child" which pervades, mostly, middle class thinking. I was on Simon Mayo's R5Live chat show the other day, because they were on about how shocking and damaging it can be to children, when parents split up, the nub of the matter being "stay together for the sake of the children". My point was that it is all pretty terrible for the adults, too, and that adults have emotional needs, and are not just gene banks, who spawn kids and then discard the husks of their humanity, to nourish their kids. Poor quality, unfulfilled adults, make for kids with similar emotional difficulties. I got cut off, 'cos my point wasn't p.c. enough...
Oh, and while I'm ranting, can we all plese complain to the ASA, about those hideously mawkish Johnson's adverts - any advertising copywriter prepared to pen a line, "Johnson's wipes - just the one's for number two's" should be sent back to school until they're old enough to interact meaningfully with the other inhabitants of planet Earth. Oh, and just to make sure they don't produce any more of that sort of insightful wit, they should have their arses sealed with a red hot poker....
