Now, we all know that riding a bike on the road equals certain, unavoidable, imminent, yet lingering death and would thus only be indulged in by psychotic fools with a death-wish 
. However, after hearing many times that the type of people who drive Porsches/Ferraris/etc. are different to those who drive TVRs (not saying that's it's necessarily true) I was wondering whether TVR owners are more likely to own motorbikes? It certainly seems that lots of Tiv owners on here do so? So come on, who both drives and rides and what make/model of each machine?

Then a Honda CB900 in my twenties and until recently a Kawasaki GPZ600 – just sold to finance some house and TVR improvements.
However, I'm tempted by the idea of another bike to go to work on (400cc ish).
Passed my test in 1981 when literally all you had to do is go and down the High Street a couple of times to earn the right to tear the L plates up!
Like me creature comforts too much now to just have a bike.

I'ved owned many bikes, R6's, Blades, Dukes and last year decided I was gonna have a quick car instead. 1st I bought an S3C, not quick enough, so I sold that and bought a Maserati. Plenty quick enough but too dear to run and own, so I sold it.
I've gone back to an R6 and have payed off the loan for the car.
So, fast cars are excellent provided you can afford to keep them, even then if your a biker at heart you'll allways want one. Bikes give you more bang for your buck no doubt about it.

Have tried to remove bikes and replace with fast cars many times, but look what I ended up with! there's no substitute for the lunacy of dragging your knee along the ground at 120mph (on track) or going off road, getting muddy and falling off! on the other hand if it's really hot I can't stand biking as you don't get any sun, so out comes the Tyv etc. I think bikers displat a want to be free and individual type attitude much the same as alot of Tyv owners, although some of the NEW bikers of late are a different cup of tea.

Yep - got both. Bit it went a little bit like this. Sold an AX-GT to buy my first big bike. FZR600. Lovely machine (for a first bike - and bloody quick - especially when the quickest thing you've driven at the time was an AX-GT). Then brought a Rover 220 Coupe, then 944 S2 & 968 Sport. Throughout all these cars I steadily put about 3k-4k per year on the FZR. Then replaced the FZR with a 2 year old ZX6R with about 6k miles on the clock. In the next year I put a further 3k on the clock. Then brought a Chimaera.
For the past 3 years of owning the Trev - I've probably put no more than 500 miles per year on the bike..!! I just never use it. Don't get me wrong, I love the bike, just when I have a choice on a hot day between Trev and Bike. The Trev nearly always wins.. The only time the bike comes out is when a new women comes into my life and say, ohh… you've got a bike, take me on the back… Which probably explains why it's not done very many miles…..!

You see I like my legs without metal and my head with just the metal it has already thank you. Now if drivers actually paid any attention to bikes and didn't try to hit them at every opportunity I might change my mind ... can I have a private island please? (with good weather)
