There was a TV program on late a week ago supposedly about the dangers of High performance cars. Did anyone see it? What was their point?

Explanation is simple: "Mother of idiots is always pregnant".

phooey.

Any damn car is dangerous - depends on the person behind the wheel.

Pretty sure there is a danger / intelligence related equation...

Its the same as the gun quote "guns dont kill people do"

A car cant be dangerous unless its unroadworthy.

I think you might be referring to Pulling Power, scathing criticism of which you'll find in another thread in this section.

Pah, what tosh. Sports cars will out-turn, out-brake and out-accelerate any other car type on the road, so if you bin one, you'd have been doubly knackered in a regular car. Having said that in the hands of pillocks they can be pretty lethal...

Impreza for sale, never raced or rallied...

Thanks I guess it must have been pulling power. Glad I missed it! IMHO lack of training makes a big difference. I had an accident when younger which I would not have had if I had done a skid pan course earlier. The training saved my bacon 2 weeks ago when I had a blow out on the M40 (WTF was a six inch nail doing on the M40?)

Not quite the case. If it is being driven by an unroadworthy driver it can be.

It could be a complete heap of crap (without rusty jagged edges) and stationary which would not make it dangerous.

Er thats what I ment. The phrase "guns dont kill, people do" means that a gun on its own cant kill people, a person has to pull the triger. Likewise a car is not dangerous on its own it needs a driver.

OK no clever dicks try and find an automated defence system

Bloody hell that Scooby took a big impact. Anyone know what happened, and did the occupants survive to tell the tale?

I personally think that 75 year olds, Doris & Bill up the road with the Nissan Micra are far more dangerous!

Looks like what's left after the fire brigade have finished with it.
