Someone spotted this wierd lighting effect on the garage webcam this morning and saved the image:

Look at the shadow from the Westfield. It suggests a light source, quite high up on the opposite wall. Fair enough you might say but the only window is behind the Westfield in the picture and the lights were off!

Are there any X-files type experts who can suggest WTF was going on? Is my Elise possessed? Or perhaps an alien was using the laptop which is in roughly the location the light appears to emanate from (the screen was off and the lid was closed). I must know.

Light coming in through the window & reflecting off the opposite wall, causing a shadow? I'm sure this could be tested out with a powerful torch tonight.

More to the point, WHY have you got a webcam in your garage?

To be honest, dawn sunlight is the obvious explaination but it's very suprising because the light is very low and I'm amazed there's a clear line of sight between the sun and the opposite wall of the garage - the house is in a built up area after all, and I would have thought the fence and conservatory would've blocked the light to that window never mind the neighbours' bloomin great houses!

My car isn't projecting any light from the engine bay at the moment.

twas I who clocked the picture.
I looked out of my office window at the time and it was grey, but I work a handful of miles from the garage.
the angle of the shadow is all wrong for it to be reflecting off the Elise. if it were off the side window of the Elise there would surely be no shadow? the 'bird sits lower than the Lotus.

strange.

Slightly off topic, but congratulations moomin on getting the Westie through the SVA.

I've been following your build diary with interest - an excellent site (but then it would have to be with Bonce doing what he does, wouldn't it ).

Cheers Jeremy

Indeed the site contains much loveliness, some of it my work too y'know! But Bonce is the real whiz at these things, I just trudge on with all the words and pictures in the diary (still trying to catch up ).

I think the lighting effect may be some sort of immaculate conception of my car perhaps?
