I've just bought my first place and have been given a washing machine by my parents which they had lying around. However, they can't find the pipes/tubs/whatever for connecting it to the water supply.

Anyone know where you can get these? I thought maybe B&Q?? Also are they all a generic size (I presume they are).

If you live in Kent I've got a spare pair in the shed.

Pipes are generic size... available form most hardware stores... B&Q, Wickes, Homebase etc etc

I'd suggest that you get some of a decent length as it makes life easier if you need to move it... and get one with blue ends and one red ends...

B+Q and use PTFE sealing tape on the threads, better seal. Don't overthighten the plastic nuts, they will strip off the threads.
Is the supply plumbed for it or do you have to feed off the taps. And the waste pipe needs sorting. You can buy the necesary U bend adapters for this, usually a collar that fits above the bend.
