I've considerable experience in the field. Most Anne Summers vibes are made from low grade plastics and use a very simple unbalanced mass and electric motor to achieve their effect. The result of this is that the motor to casing mounting point breaks down and the motor starts to vibrate against the casing. This causes excessive noise. The speed controls usually consist of a crude rheostat which often fails in use, giving unpredictable performance, or limiting the frequency and amplitude of the vibration. This can cause the vibrator to fail to deliver climax. Furthermore, the electric motors themselves have to internally absorb the unbalanced rotational forces - they too fail prematurely.

These motors must be made by Lucas! My wiper motors are loud an unpowerful, as is the washer pump, starter, etc. All made by Lucas
