I was coming down the sweeping right hander u can see in the last pic, only going 60mph *cough* i started to brake for the entrance to work and the nose went to my right and i started going towards oncoming traffic so i turned the wheel left and she gripped and the nose started pointing left towards the field then the arse end overtook me, and the front right smashed into the kerb and flipped me over, 6+ times apparently.
Happened right outside work aswell, ill never hear the end of it
He was an extremely lucky old boy. I have been to the scene of three such accidents where this sort of post and rail fencing was involved and in those accidents either driver or front passenger were impaled by 8 feet of 4" X 2" rail. One of the drivers sat with this splinter through his left breast just above his nipple for 3 hours, flashing his headlights (what was left of them) until someone noticed him, due to the hedge around the post and rail. He also had a 6" nail at right angles to the rail sitting nicely inside his chest and was very firmly attached to all of this through the drivers seat into the rear seat. Fortunately all of these three survived, I have been to others with similar fencing that didn't.
Post and rail fencing is lethal to car drivers. Next time you pass some, look at the height of the top rail. It coincides very nicely with the centre of your chest when you are sitting in a car seat

Fences kill!
Don't hear too much support for a fence removal program in the interest of road safety. If you boys are aware of the lethal implications of this type of fence why is there no pressure to have them removed?
Oops, I forgot, if we didn't speed we wouldn't crash so it wouldn't matter. Silly me.

Quick - set up cameras to take pictures of fences so we ccan fine the owners...
Hmmm - in the 12th picture in the foreground, I see a baseball cap - by it's shape, it looks like it has been worn backwards
. I hope this is taken into account by the accident investigator.
Still - more proof of how strong the passenger cells of Subarus are, despite the flimsy outer panels....

Good work that man! An excellent attempt which might just wrestle my crown of most fcuked scooby away from me.
Glad he's in 1 piece, Scoobies seem to be bloody good at protecting drivers whilst the rest of the car disintegrates. (I prefer it that way round).
Just in case any missed it, here's my car from earlier this year

Give it a wash and get a bit of T-cut on it and it'll be fine. Don't know what all the fuss is about
