GUMBALL 3000 for PS2

Just got my copy delivered yesterday and in between posting on here have been playing it non stop! It's an brilliant game, very addictive!

You get cars like 355's, boxter's, 911's, McLaren F1, 360, Merc GTR, BMW 7series and more!

Brilliant game, racing across europe, just been caught by a speed camera on the M11 at 150mph in a boxster!

The Autobahn's are a laugh too!

How real are the roads? Are they just the same name or are they quite geographically correct?

Not sure about geographically correct, they got roadworks going on the UK motorways and I'd be able to read the signs if I was going a bit slower! Some are a bit unrealistic though like the journey to Stanstead!

Can you buy this in the shops in the UK?

I have seen it over here in Holland, but all the instructions and wotnot will be in Dutch and therefore not a great deal of use.

Yup got mine from play.com, and pre-ordered Grand Theft Auto Vice-City!

Play.com is the cheapest i've seen Gumball!

Overall is gumball good then? Have just pre-ordered Need For Speed: Hot pursuit 2 and Grand Theft Auto 4 but am addicted to car games.

Edited to say: Yes Gumball is a good game, lots of tasks to do like get clocked by a speed camera at 200mph , destroy a police car, max speed 210mph, get clocked by 3 speed cameras etc etc!

It's brilliant fun, and is a 2 player

is it a challenging game as well as just stupid fun?

The game I'm really looking forward to is the getaway. It looks very good, all made from photos and includes a cerbera. I'm buying a PS2 just for it.

Of course it has long term life!!! you have to do the gumball in the starting car, complete as many tasks as you can to unlock new cars then try the gumball with those, by the end you should be doing the gumball in a LeMans car or a McLaren F1!

I was hanging on for colin mcrae 3, since I blew my "toys supposed to be for children" budget on a scaletrix with a tvr speed 12 this month.

I think I need an extraorinary budget meeting with 'er indoors to review the current spending limit!!
I cant see how the house repairs budget should get 3 times as much.

I wasn't really keen on VRally 3, thought the gameplay was very unrealistic and was dissapointed with the graphics!

I'm more into tarmac racing games!

I'm thinkin of buying Need for speed 2 when it comes out tomorrow, I got the demo with the official ps2 mag and it was addictive! racing around in a 360 spider trying evade police drivin murcielagos!

Graham.J, have you played the demo and if so how does it rate with Gumball?

I'm also looking forward to GTA4 and the Getaway - Need for Speed looks good too - can I really justify buying all 4? Time to start writing to Santa!
