My local council has decided in its wisdom that a loverly NSL road is far too dangerous and wants to drop the limit to 40mph.

This road is in open green belt - little pedestrian use with no houses other than 1 farm entrance. IMHO, the only reason why they want to do this is to protect the bright green cycle lanes theyve just painted all over the place.

Does anyone know the best way to protest at this change, baring in mind a letter with "don't do it cos I think its crap" won't suffice.

ATM, its at the stage of posting intentions to change in the local press and wants grounds for objection.

I could really do with your words of wisdom as I'm thick!

Have a look at The Association of British Drivers website:

www.abd.org.uk

I'm sure they had details on objections somewhere.

I'd be delighted

Rates are £25 for a 250 word rebuke, £50 for a full on 5-800 word kicking.

How to object? £10 at Halfords to get a fake plate made. Affix plate to Cerbie, and blast away...

Alernatively, a RPG to take out ant fixed or mobile units.
