Apologies for the new thread, but I can't find the old one.
Finally got around to playing this. It is without doubt the most annoying thing I've ever played.....
Grrrr.
I suppose I'm used to the non-linear GTA, but bloody heck it's a bit unfair. Take one. Launch. Do the first few tricks. Discover you're on the wrong side of the road. Take two, remember that bit, screw the next one up because you don't know what you're supposed to be doing *until* you get there at 90mph. Take 5, due do unclear directions, takes 5-9 are trying to work out which way is next.....
Continue until about take 30, when you finally clear it. Then repeat with tuk-tuks until you give up and take the thing back to Blockbuster....
Perhaps I'm just stupid, but the format irritated the hell out of me.
Still, Vice City soon.....

i think it's alright. some of the hint markers are a bit off, but if you keep chipping away at it ( like revelations previous offering - driver ), you make reasonable progress.
i did a few levels first time and completed the demo level my mate had on the third attempt, but this doesn't appear in the game until 3/4 the way through. i haven't finished yet but there are some very rewarding sections, and the difficulty varies from stage to stage, in an unlinear way which is quite refreshing with the overall standard raising as you get into it.
if you spent any time on gran-turismo and got good at that, then you should have no problem hacking through it to start with.
it is a bit different - and you get to trash cars

at least in Driver you had the option of free driving and the sub games were quite good..
as you say Vice city will rule...
That game has taken me aaaaaages to complete and apart from precision the last level is the most enjoyable and easiest!

You need to be flat out the whole way on this stunt, try and judge the explosions so they explode just as you go over them, the explosion boosts you forwards, if you get the right line you'll do it! Jump to the right of the shed on the canyon bit! The rest of the stunt is pretty complex especially trying to land on the flying microlight! The main flaw with that stunt is that everthing flows on from the canyon jump!
I really liked this game at first but had to stop playing when i reached the stage in Live Twice for Tommorrow the second stage called the police chase when you have to use one of them little fiat jelly moulds.
After about an hour of trying it i nearly put my fist through the TV so ive thrown it in the back of the cupboard.
Got Gumball 3000 and that seems alot more playable,
Cant wait until GTA comes out mid Nov.
Cars Bikes Guns just up my street.

Got Stuntman, can't get past level one of 'live twice for tomorrow' - it's just SOOOOO hard!
I know what you mean about the sodding tuk tuk's... pain in the behind but they corner better if you lift off the gas and keep full steering on. At least that's how I managed to do the levels anyway!
I played NFS Hot Pursuit 2 on the PC and I wasn't very impressed tbh, next games for me are GTA: Vice City and The Getaway... should be a 'fun' christmas!

Stuntman was good in a way because it was challenging, maybe a bit too challenging. I have no idea how long it took me to do the last scene in the lambo look-a-like! Apart from career mode there is jack all else to do though.
Bought NFS-hot pursuit 2 at the weekend, it's fantastic! Great fun escaping from the murcielago driving police in your mclaren f1 or merc clk-gtr!
