Unlimited access ISP's
Discussion
Ok I bought the BT Openworld anytime deal last year £14.99 for "unlimited" anytime access, it has since gone done in hours to about 5 hours a day max. Did I hear the word Nazi's mentioned????
Anyway does anyone have a good ISP they can recommend that you pay a flat rate monthly charge for unlimited access that really means what it says (or at least 10 hours a day?) I haven't gone broadband yet either I'm talking 56k modem technology here.
I am adding BT to my list of who's against the wall when the revolution comes

Pipex is pretty good for a 56k dialup. Sometimes a bit slow in the evenings, but unlimited access 24/7 - they have varying degrees of contention so different charges as well depending on how much you want to pay. I think they do restricted (evenings/weekends) unlimited access for less money, too.
HTH!
Edited to add: Just as well too, the amount of time I spend online!!

no - mine are very good about usage.. so I'm not telling you who they or all the disaffected BTAnytwat users will pile onto my ISP and they'll have to follow suit limiting usage.. then I'm fooked..
wouldn't mind if I could get ADSL
PS - I was kicked of BTAnytwat about a year ago for over-usage.. umm.. hello.. working from home & need to get email... tossers..

They send the hippies round in their VW camper to tell you "you shouldn't have done it man, we're might gonna get a little bit annoyed at ya, but lets talk it over and maybe sing some songs about Vietnam, got any pot?"

I have ADSL from BT and have had it for about 18 months now, with no issues at all, fast access and unlimited for £29 a month, which is a bit steep, but I find the speed is a benifit as I can FTP/copy files from the office to ho me without messing around with disks/laptops and crappy e-mail attachment limits.

From BT
"We’re changing our Terms & Conditions and introducing a monthly** usage quota of 150 hours’ internet access. This works out at an average of five hours a day, every day. Based on your recent usage this is a lot more than you’re likely to need."
And
"In the unlikely event that you do get close to the 150 hours’ monthly quota, you’ll receive automatically generated status emails to your primary email address as you approach 35, 15 and 0 hours remaining.
Working from home but only check for mails once or twice a day so it suits me and they have been very good.

I've just found the Pipex Dial site and the subscrption rates are as high as an ADSL line, cheapest one quoted is for £19.75 and that's only evenings & weekends unmetered access. 24 hour services start at £29.97.
Are you Pipex people really paying this for access, if so go ADSL. Freeserve is on £13.99, even the BT account I have (which I've never had any connection problems with just the fact they keep limiting online time) is £15.99
The Pipex site I'm looking at is www.dial.pipex.net/services/dial-dialtime/ it;s the only one I could find. Please tell me if I'm being a numpty and it's the wrong site, please!!!!!!
