TV favourite Ant McPartlin has been banned from driving for doing an amazing 127mph.



The Geordie — one half of Ant and Dec — was pulled over in his flash Audi TT by an unmarked police car.

The star was clocked on a 70mph stretch of the A1(M) near Bowburn, Co Durham, as he went to visit relatives. Ant, 27, pleaded guilty at a court hearing in Chester-le-Street.

He was banned for 30 days and fined £350.

Im all for reasonable treatment of speeders but its got to be fair. It doesn't sound like the sort of fine 'Joe public would get'.

I think the real question is why the discrepancy between his sentence and the "biker" mentioned at the end of the story.
