No, I'm not getting rid of the bike, but I want a fast fun car.

Say I can get my grubbies on about 10K next year... it's got to be reliable, sleek, V8 or V6 preferably (or mental turbo 4cyl). RWD.

Rust is one of my absolute HATES, so it's got to be be clean. Fuel consumption no object, but insurance to be less than £1000pa.

Ideas please?

Shame if funds were not a problem you could go for one of those holden Ute's that way you could put the bike on the back.

Save some quid more, and go for an Elise Mk.I; they're hunting Ducatis up and down the local hill road

nice idea, but no way a 1.8 Loti is gonna keep up with a 1.0 Duke... well, not if the roads were dry.

It's got to be very fast though! this is a prime requisite.

How about something like a TVR wedge? There’s a 460 in the classifieds for £10950.

Im not really into them myself but Autotrader is showing lots of those Scoobydo Imprettzel turbo things at £5k upwards with lots in the £7k area with 280bhp. My mate picked up a 2 door one with engine mods and a 350bhp rolling road print out ( how accurate i dont know) for under £10k and it is bloody fast, although surely the engine is not gonna last too long with that bhp im guessing.

Jap import twin turbo supras go for about 8k now, 6k at auction. ~300bhp as standard, change the exhaust and add a black box you get ~350bhp and low 13s quarters.

have you considered a bike engined car? I've never driven one but I know they sound fantastic and I think performance would be sub 5s -60 too....and should easily meet the £10k budget.

What about a Zetec powered Westfield about 10-12K and a power to weight ratio of 250/300bhp/ton.

Also cheap to run spares wise fuel that another thing.
