I was sorry not to have been able to attend BT&P (even in a marked vehicle in the car park 
) I understand that everyone had a great time and judging from some of the photos I have seen this would corroborate that fact.
I was more than flattered to have been nominated in the first instance for the award but to win it was astounding, especially as I know many of you are not the friend of Plod.
I now have the award and it is sitting above my PC as I do not have an office at work to put it in. I basically work from home these days.
I only ever intended /tried to put a slightly different perspective on some of the attitudes and barrack room law that I started to read before I started posting on this site.
I hope that even though some of you may disagree with me on the more emotive stuff, that at least it will make you think. If I can help by giving insight into how the very complex laws and procedures that govern our lives actually work, then at least some of you may be able to avoid coming into contact with them or being subject of them. That is all that I ask
Keep taking me to task, I enjoy a verbal joust and many of you should have your own stage shows.
Once again thanks.

Madcop, can honestly say that you thoroughly deserve the award for your amazingly insightful posts. Granted, many people may not be "friends of plod" as you put it, but that does not mean they are not your friends.
Since BTaP it has become more apparent that PH is more of a community than a website... and like it or not, you are part of that community.
Your posts give us mere mortals an understanding of how plod works and the trials and tribulations that you guys endure when you are simply trying to do your job.

If ever someone deserved an award its you,
I for one have on many an occasion been doing something on the roads that was not entirely legal and remembered words that you may have posted and this has brought the truth back home and made me think!!
You have given freely of your time and without prejudice!
