This isnt the only one that they have hidden behind a tree
Is it actually hidden, as the person taking the picture is on the kerb and has obviously strategically positioned him/herself.?
It does not look like its directly inline, or to the right of the camera and therfore not obstructing it.
I can just imagine the brief for the day "Go and fine a speed camera that is being hidden"
"But there are not any near the office" the reporter replies
"You in the media, make it up!"

Sneaky barstuards!!!!
I saw one built into the back of a white LDV van parked in a layby on the way into north wales a couple of weeks ago!. You could just make out the camera at the top of the doors!

For years there's been one in Bristol (top of Falcondale Road, heading out towards Cribbs) smack bang behind a large road sign - the kind of 2 metre wide by 1.5m tall type.
Recently the sign has been removed, so now we can all see where the camera is, but don't know where we're going!

Have to say this is in my ex-locale and I've never considered it to be a particlarly sneaky one. The photo was take from the pavement. Also the road has just been resurfaced and lined and the white rulers stick out like a sore thumb so anyone that misses this needs a eye test.
adeewuff said: That Speed Camera is notorious, had great fun while sitting in the park watching it flash at Londoners coming down for the weekend. When driving on the road itself, it is obscured until you are actually in the lines for the trap itself.
You should be able to see it ok, your driving position being so high up and all!
I think that the sneakiest must be on the A12 from the East End of London out to the M11. There is a sharp right hand bend with a 40 limit and the camera is in some bushes on the right hand side just as the bend starts to open out. You can see it about 10 yards before you get to it. It's painted yellow mind, so that's OK then.
