Did you see the nonsense about this on the main BBC news this morning?

WTF? That's like saying we should ban cars in case 5 year olds try to drive them!

Don't bother with Colin McRae - its just not worth the money. Sure it looks good and trying to knock all the wheels off the car is fun, but there is nothing in it that CMR1 or 2 dosent give...
More wheelieing tips.
If you pull a stoppie first, then lean back and hit the power the weight transfer will help.
I can hold a moped for a couple of hundred metres. The superbike I can manage for 700m (followed by a 74m stoppie....)
Tip. Get to the airport and practise on the runway. No cars, just the odd 747 to dodge...

I was in Asda yesterday contemplating buying it when stood next too me was some numpty and his wife and young son ( about 11 or 12 I'd say). Anyway the kid is grabbing GTAVC off the shelf asking mom & pop if he could have it together with about three other games. Astounded to see the so called parents put up no resistence to son's feeble efforts, not once did they question the 18 cert or whether it was suitable.
I was going to say something but resisted!!

This surprises me - the Codemasters' dynamics engine is the best I've played (apart from maybe GPL)- I've enjoyed TOCA, TOCA2, Colin McRea 1 & 2. (Admittedly all on PC, where you get better feedback, more resolution, faster framerate etc)
Maybe I'll wait for CM3 to come out on PC...

Trouble is, they haven't improved anything over CMR1 (which is still pretty good) and to be honest I'd rather slam the older version in rather than pay another £40 for something that will only hold my attention for an evening.
Colin McRae is weird, once you get up to speed it gives a fairly good impression of how a car reacts, but it doesn't relate to what the wheels are doing. Quite frustrating. Try reversing and turning hard left - never seen a car move like that before
Just spent a cheap weekend playing vice city on a projector though - top game
Very entertaining, loads of funny bits. Even has dennis hopper and burt reynolds doing voice overs.

I ask this question cos AFIK the last version people used the mouse to control the cars (not my cup of tea at all). Whats the point in having force feedback steering wheels when they are not used?
