Why oh why oh why did some pillocks feel the need to make derogoratory hand signals at me as I stood next to my car in the fast lane of the M25 on Wednesday morning. Surely there's absolutely nothing wrong with parking your car there during the rush hour when it's bucketing down...

...especially when just in front of my car is a nice shiny new Polo that tried and failed to dent the concrete central reservation after aquaplaning out of lane 3 at 80mph; the driver, having had an intimate experience with her airbag was ever so slightly dazed and shook up, I''d thanked God, Allah and Buddah that my ABS saved my life (and my car), the police and a paramedic were on the way and I wasn't feeling lucky enough to stop the traffic myself and move both cars onto the hard shoulders. So if those hand-signalling twonks are out there - especially the salesmen-looking type in his discovery - if and when you have a near fatal experience on the motorway I sincerely hope NOBODY stops to help you and you can wander dazed and confused across the motorway until someone puts you out of your poor ignorant misery, preferably by decorating their bonnet with you.

Oh yes and that idiot artic driver in the lane next to me who forgot which lane he was in as the accident unfolded before him - IDIOT!!!

Rant over. Thankyou.

You get much the same sort of looks and behaviour even when you are stopped in lane 3 with a stripey car with lights flashing and wearing dayglow yellow.
Just put it down to experience and understand that at least te damsel you saved in her distress would have been extremely grateful, even if she did'nt tell you so.

I would say I don't believe it, but sadly I do.

But echoing (sp?) madcop you can feel proud of yourself for what you did , just ignore the other t.

On a similar note to 'Why oh why oh why'...

Coming down the M40 on Wednesday night, traffic was flowing fairly well and the rain had died off. 7 miles from the M25 (on the downhill section) two cars had ROLLED into the bank on the left hand side of the motorway, causing traffic chaos.

How?

How on earth do you ROLL a car on a straight piece of motorway?

Another three cars managed to spin across two lanes on the M25 between 12 and 11 making my journey home miserable yet again. Though not as miserable as theirs.

Seriously I hope the people in the two cars on their roofs were OK and they maybe learn something from the experience.

You know what - the original post by sadoksevoli is scary enough. The fact that he is trying to do the right thing and all you get is abuse.....BUT, to have your post Madcop - well that is just amazing....

What is this world coming too - are they blind as well as stupid..?

Cheers,

Paul

Thanks all - got it off my chest and some sympathy to boot - now Mr Neanderthal rears his head - I REALLY wish I got the nice lady's phone number so I could enquire after her health after such a trauma.
