a 1970 1100 mini clubman in light brown!
and got a mig welder and a compressor in the bargain as well as loads of spares including another 1100 engine & box its got black vinyl (leather look) interior, chrome hub caps, ten inch wheels, drums all round
its less rusty than my 1985 mini ritz! only thing is a bearing has gone in engine so its been sitting in blokes garage for 10 years, he never got round to changing it with spare one and has since had a stroke
it has a couple of tiny dents, the a panels are bubbly along edges, floorpan is good - loads better than my 1985 ritz! carpet is like new. has big long toggle switches (they standard?) that i liked and key is inbetween choke and heater - which is nice rear opening windows, little square BL badges
i'm well chuffed! only downer is that it looks like i'll have to get it towed to my house - anyone in kent got a trailer and car with tow bar who wouldnt mind helping me out? - i'm willing to pay! already got a mate with a transit who's gonna pick up all the spares and stuff.
gonna be a great project
gonna change it from hydrolastic to dry subframes, cooper s discs up front, and probs change colour, i'd like to use period style bits and keep it in the 70's!
