Peugeot 307 HDi Cambelt due soon?
Discussion
you don't mention if it's the 1.4hdi or the 2.0hdi
the 2.0 is recommended to be replaced at 96k under normal conditions, dropping to 80k if the usage is adverse
I can't find the 1.4's interval at the moment, but from memory it's the same engine as that used in the current fiesta and that has a 150k interval!!!!

Seeing as your about to aquire the car, i'd request the belts replacement as you'll have no real way of knowing the cars previous duty cycle. It might well have spent hours on end ticking over.
I have already told STMBO to ask for it to be done. Need to see what they say.

Hi all, does anyone know at what distance a 307 HDi cambelt needs changing. SWMBO has bought a 51 with 80k on the clock. Just want to make sure the belt is changed beforehand if its due
Thanks
Dave

The belt on our 406 HDi 90 has just been changed at 70,000 miles. The dealer recently told me that it should be changed after five years or 84,000 miles, so I got it done on the time basis, as our car was five years old in June.
The cost was about £130 which was a bit less than I had expected. HTH.
Best wishes all,
Dave.
