Despite the fact it was chucking it down, I just couldn't resist turning off the CD and lowering the window......just to listen to the gorgeous Aston Vanquish I was following tonight

That sound is fantastic (and we were only doing about 30mph).

I now want one more than ever.

too right, I followed one down the M11, marvelled at it's looks and presence...he saw me in the mirror and hoofed it some, noise made the hairs on my arms stand going under an overpass, not that quick though

Not a vanquish I know but once when pootling along the M4 london bound a V12 Vantage pulled level (at 70 mph(ish)) the driver then dropped a cog or two and proceeded to hoof the loud peddle. Where most cars would have run out of steam the aston launched like missile (sp) and oh the sound!!

I'll never forget that.

MMMMM, DB7 Vantage Volante - the only other car worth dropping my TVR for. (In an affordable, parrallel universe, obviously)

We were out in the Chimaera last summer and got caught in a traffic jam in Chichester behind (and I'll show myself up now) and old Aston '60's style big bugger with skinny wheels DB5/6???
Sounded fantastic and as luck would have it we were both heading in the same direction, both cars line-astern through the W.Sussex countryside blatting little villages (at 30mph ).
The look on peoples faces as firstly the Aston burbled through and then us was priceless.
Mind you as I was sitting comfortably one handed through the sweeping bends the other guy was wrestling with a wheel the size of the London Eye - a joy to behold.
