Alfa Brera lives......allegedly
Discussion
Well, according to Autocar, who have a rather tasty computer generated pic of the "production" version (pretty much exactly the same as the ItalDesign one) in this weeks mag.
Seems it'll either run a Twin Turbo (such a cool name
) V6 or the 4.2litre V8 from the Masser 4200.
Lets hope they really do build it, as I've seen the Brera first hand, and she's a beauty.
If they can produce it for around 50K, there could be a few sleepless nights in Blackpool and Stuttgart...

They HAVE to maje the 4.2 Maseratti V8 one. Otherwise there'd be no point. Also 50K for a V6 is pushing it a bit. Even if it is turbo'd. Nah they have to go the whole hog for the V8. Or maybe produce two cars. A V6 and a V8.
There is only one problem. Will Maserati let them use the V8. After all Maseratis are mega money and will have the same engine. You really think they'd let Alfa sell a car with exactly the same engine for a lot less. I don't think it would make marketing sense. But then Alfa hasn't always been a company dictated by sense....
