Who said its not possible to enjoy driving any more in this country?
Had a splendid drive home one evening this week, following a Toyota Land Cruiser (of all vehicles) which was being driven very "progressively". I was particularly impressed by the way he virtually straightlined one of my favourite roundabouts.
Just goes to show that, although having a sporting vehicle to drive does help, you can have fun driving anything.
Anybody else claim to have fun on the daily commute?

Every morning I drive over a roundabout (Tibbets Corner for those that know it) that has a lovely camber to it.

Before they resurfaced it you could get the arse out and balance it nicely. Certaintly made the morning commute much more fun than it would be in a FWD car!

Me - I have a GV2000 (posh Suzuki Vitara) and go down a country lane to get to work.

I have now got the time down to around 6 minutes on a clear run, otherwise it all depends on the numpties in front and how soon I can overtake.

If I had been on the bike I would have gone stright past long before the roundabout. (I was in the car, being a fair-weather biker.)

Rush hour by bike is always fun. There is always lots of prey out there, and humiliating everything is marvelous. Going by car is a bit different, but I play the tactics game to make up for the horsepower deficit - pick the right lanes, the correct gear, and it makes the journey much more interesting. Also can be surprisingly good fun being nice to people when they don't expect it - eg getting waves & friendly beeps for letting people in, etc.
