Easy - buy a tin of thompson's water seal from B&Q and liberally apply to all parts of the dry fabric. About 6 coats should do it. Reapply every 2 months. Keep it off the plastic rear screen and paintwork with masking tape, but u can use white spirit if you're a messy worker.

Cheap but does the job

Congratulations, something else eh?
Load of threads on this one, just keep paging back.
Look for water ingress, and any other threads that look leaky.
Thompson’s ordinary (not ultra) water sealer. B&Q,
Did my first coat last weekend works a treat, if it's dry tomorrow she'll get a second coat. KEEP IT OFF THE PAINTWORK, SEALS & PERSPEX.
Good Luck.

Looks Like Hutch beat me to it!
