Having seen the Maybach 'in action' last night c/o Jezz C, I am convinced that Merc have finally wrestled the crown from Crewe, or indeed Munchen, much as it pains me to acknowledge.
This road going liner of a car is an engineering masterpiece and I look forawrd with great anticipation to the restoration of a non-batty government which will allow the restoration of such profligate excess amongst the baubles in the palaces of the mighty.
Almost makes you wish you were German! Shocking.

It's a great means of transport for those in the back, but it will sell purely because of the fact that it's the most expensive luxo-barge on offer. Give me a Bentley any day.
Agreed... I'd rather have Crewe's finest any day..!Got to agree with DeR on this one, better than a Rolls. I suppose money doesn't come into the equation with the people who buy these cars, otherwise they would stick with an S-class.
However for the same money you could have an S-class merc AND a Bentley Azure. Even if I had Bill Gates wealth I don't think I'd bother with the Maybach.
