As far as I know this is the remenants of the West Brother's 'World Sports Cars' taken over by the publisher Empire and developed by a different company. The West brothers are now re-developing the real version into Racing Legends - supposed to be the next big thing in racing games (if they ever finish it

From what I've read the PC version is a bit arcadey ie the cars stick to the road like glue beyond physics. There is a forum which has people changing the config files to make it more realistic and the company is writing a patch so it may get better. I think I'm going to buy it as I haven't got a decent GT racing game at all and this looks the best.
The RL simulation by the West brothers I think is vaperware at the moment. I regularly visit the website and there are no real developments mentioned. In fact they announced that they were getting a physics expert in to model the cars which I would have thought would be the first stage of a decent simulation anyway ie get the physics right work out how much space you have for the pretty pictures. The pictures on the site are renders of static models. I would suspect we won't see RL for a good few years yet, if at all.

Mark Benson said: Generally, if a game comes out before it's reviews, the publishers have something to gain by not sending out review copies before the game hits the shops.
That way, you can grab a load of sales before the magazines etc. slate it.
I agree to certain extent however sometimes its just bad timing for example UT2003 was out before the reviews, cracking game. Also be careful of what the reviewer likes I can remember GPL being slated by reviewers saying it was too hard to play. I think they may have missed the point. One thing I like to do is always try and get a demo or play it on another mnachine. My first experince of GPL was on a large screen with a racing cockpit
what fun. TIR don't seem to have released a demo yet which is annoying.
If anyone has played it, please let us know what you think:
