Expensive Fun in France - Not!!

Aaargh, nightmare. 350 bl00dy quid down the pan.

Nipped across to Calais with some mates at the weekend to pick up some cheap Christmas booze and left the car outside the hotel in a car park overnight. I've got a dirty old white Laguna, and it was parked next to my friend's shiny new golf convertible.

Got to car in the morning and discovered some of the nice folks in Calais had smashed my rear passenger side window and the driver's side quarterlight window. Not a scracth on golf though. They hadn't even nicked anything, just trashed my windows.

Drove back to London with windows taped up then got new glass put in last night. £350 for those two bits of glass and an hours labour. Bargain!!!! And I only have TPFT, so I had to front the cash myself. What a top weekend.

Nevin. I know how you feel. A couple of months a go some b***ard did some windows on the Audi. They took half a stereo and it ended up costing me €1500.

Mungo, that sounds like exactly the postion I'm in. About to sell it, worth jack all, TPFT, getting something new, but its still costing me loads of cash.
Nnnngh.

They didn't touch my stereo, camera, cds, etc. Really annoying.
