We should all be vigilant observers of our moles (and those of our partners and families etc) and be quick to seek medical advice if there appears to be a change in a mole or birthmark's size or colour, or if it begins to itch or bleed.

Jackie Stewart's had the unfortunate experience of cancer affecting two of his family - perhaps this proximity to observant cancer specialists may have saved his own life.

Hope all goes well for Jackie.The good news is that my Step Mum who is 80 had this very same op a few years ago....She now seems in excellent health.
