Didn't see it, and maybe just as well! One thing I learned during those long-lost years was the total inaccuracy of press reports. Result? From the day I quit I stepped back from it all and did my best to forget it.

Since then I've seen Ecurie Ecosse books and articles galore and every one of them has been a load of rubbish. Sometimes sad, and sometimes hurtful, but what the hell - I'm interested in today because yesterday was all about an insignificant cottage industry - endlessly over-hyped!

Actualy, no, that was a month ago - interesting anyway - but there was a big piece today with piccies of the D-types at Merchiston Mews '57.

They also reproduced the original article covering the release of the Hillman Imp (30/11/1963) - £508 1s bought you an 875cc 39hp monster which would do 0-50 in 15.5 secs... celebrating a classic of Scottish design/production on St. Andrews day. (Hence Ecurie Ecosse article too).
