ok, so WHAT do you actually commute IN?
Discussion
Slightly different tack to CarZee's thread.. what do people actually use for commuting? Does everyone have a 'regular' car, or are there any other nutters out there using a supercar as daily transport??
I've been using an esprit as my day-to-day transport for the last two and a half years. First a 2.0 litre GT3, now a V8-GT. My commute is 100 miles a day round trip, but luckily i don't actually have to do it every day.
I've had some eye watering bills in that time as you can expect, but hey, you only live once :-) The time has finally come however - i'm looking to buy a commuter car, golf or something similar
So - anyone, anyone?? Supercar as daily wheels?

While I was waiting for the X-type to arrive, the wife got ticked off at me for actually taking "her S-type" to work all the time and "puting to many miles on it", therefor I had to drive the Esprit as kind of a commuter (20 miles round trip) for the last month or so...
...for the record, the S-type (purchased in 10-1999) STILL only has 10,000 miles on it. Gives new meaning to the phrase "too many miles", eh?

I regularly see a guy in a purple Diablo (he's usually in a BMW 850 though) going the other way and sometimes another guy in a Clio V6.
...Loads of TVRs and Elises...
...but only the most hardcore travel by CRX and pedal power! (not at the same time smart arse!)

After using my TVR Griff 4.3 for 6 months as my everyday car and only getting less than 10mpg 'cos it had only just warmed up by the time I got to work (about 3 miles). I now run a Skoda Felicia 1.3LX for everyday commuting and shopping (so I don't car if some t
r bumps it in the car park).
.
If I had a longer cummute I would probably still be using the TVR nearly everyday.
