Not going to name names but I have seen a few local cars recently and the condition of the cars was shocking.
It fills me with despair that these so called reputable dealers try and palm off lumps of crap to the unsuspecting public.
I mean, this Peugeot Diesel I went to see had 80k on the clock, which the dealer said "Is believed to be genuine", even though it had one of those get out of jail free stickers on the dials.
This car had no history, which was a bit strange as it had obviously been looked after but the general wear and tear was no way 80k. The dealer just tried to fob me off with crap like "Oh, the previous owner was rather overweight and it has worn everything out"! FFS!
I had a nose round in the glove box when arfa was away and found some info on the previous owner, a Ltd company. I rang them up later and the guy I spoke to said, and I quote "Oh Jesus, that lemon. We sold it a year ago at auction"
Oh and what was the mileage?
"Oh, at least 300k" !!!!!!
Anyway, the short of it is I need to get hold of a Diesel, preferably Turbo and an Estate and either Peugeot 405/VW or Audi. MOT not important.
Please help!

All par for the course im afraid.
Having worked in the trade for a while, i know a lot of the bollox thats going on.
If you think that thats bad, you should see what the manufacturers have to put up with.
Some of the warranty scams perpertrated by their own dealers defy belief!
A poor state of affairs is all i can say, when someone takes their beloved in for repair/service etc and they get ripped off by dishonest staff.
Lost my last job over something like this, simply coz i wouldnt do partake in the rip offs.
