How the bloody hell do I use mIRC?

Hey all,

I have been rooting around looking to find the Longhorn Alpha release for a laugh and and frequently been shoved towards a website that says you can download from Mirc. Now I installed Mirc and do I have the faintest idea how it works?

Plus there are plenty of websites give FTP links to these downloads - am I doing something wrong, or are they just dead links?

On the other hand if anyone out there has a copy already, then I would be most chuffed if you could see your way to 'lending' me a copy...

Its a souped up version of internet relay chat.

Nowt other than a program that runs chat rooms for like minded people, some open forum, some closed and padlocked for sinister reasons.

I used it when playing an online game last year, but since it went pay as you play, lost interest and stopped using mIRC.
