Cheap V8's. Worth the risk???
Discussion
I was surfing the Autotrader website tonight and came across these:
Lancia Thelma 8.32 (The one with the Ferrari V8 engine)£8,000. Probably worth that for the engine alone. It would make one helluva special..
jensen Interceptor. Mot. Restored 4 years ago. £5,000. Not much for a 7 litre V8.
Both are tempting. But unfortunantly I haven't go the guts. Would anyone here go for any of these???

I was gonna get a Jensen to restore myself, but decided it was gonna cost too much for something that wasnt worth a great deal when finished. Obviously an `old tech` V8 is gonna cost a fortune to run (under 10mpg!), and I would guess the Lancia/Ferrari engine could be temperamental at best! But what do I know, I`ve got a Jap 4cyl turbo motor
