Whilst in Christmas shopping hell last weekend I found my self driving away from an extremely rare empty parking space. Realising that I had to turn round I evaluated the options so, having noted the lack of other traffic/pedestrians/road furniture, I grabbed the handbrake and did a lovely 180.

When was the last time you used the handbrake for something more interesting than parking?

Did have a rather bad habit of handbrake turning a right turn junction near my old home. Unless it was wet, at which point a tail slide type of effort was in order......

Last March on the way to a date, running late, got lost, realised I was going totally the wrong way, road ahead and behind clear, turn, handbrake, snatch first, power on .......... LOVELY!!!!!!

Without wanting to sound like a Maxy Power boy - but I last did a proper 180 with power drift out in my local Tesco car park. Just for research reasons (you have to learn somehow).

I did a 90 degree one the other day in a hire car to get round a tight corner on a building site - but that dosen't count.

Oh, and once (and once only - too scary) handbraked 180 into a parallel space on my road.

the other day i was forced to pull up the handbrake to lock the back wheels (to join the locked fronts) in order to stop to avoid an errant corsa driver on my side of the road...

have used it in the past to do handbrake turns, and to occasionaly get round corners... i don't use it as much as i'd like though
