Big YAY! .. here's the answer for all you blokies (or ladies) out there who (like me) are useless at getting presents for anyone at xmas time ...
went out yesterday with rude girl and got everything done in an hour!! It's dead easy, all you have to do is buy her lunch at some swanky restaurant (I chose pizza hut 'cos I wanted to give the right impression, ya know?) and give her a run-down of the people you want to buy for - then off into Leamington where..
Holy Smoke Batgirl, roger me sideways if it wasn't all over in the hour. Can't recommend the experience highly enough. So if you're struggling with the old prezzie probs better get your lunch reservation in early .. she's not cheap but she's worth it and I predict a high demand for this service
ho ho ho

The only thing is - you didn't end up getting socks and Y-fronts for everyone, did you??

Yes... I'd imagine her method could be best described as brutally effective

They didn't fit, Joolz... The singing Lara Croft on the front was good, though!!

I must say I'm impressed! It usually takes me an hour just to get to Leamington from Chesterfield. Do you have a heli-pad on top of the bat-cave? Or, have you modded the Cavalier with a V8 lump?

Attempted present shopping last weekend; failed abismally.

Came home with no presents, but 4 CDs and a TVR for me..

Sorted my last x-mas shopping () today - obviously without rude girl:

234,000 numpties trying to get in my way to stop me from finishing the annual punishment

Went to the bookstore to get a spoken book on CD for my grandma. Being not very literate I had difficulties to sort the quality from the high-end-written-word stuff and dumb entertaining novels. In the end I found myself with Ephraim Kishon at the cash desk

Next task I had was to find a €3-present for a party tonight to throw it in a big sack and get it distributed by random to another guest afterwards (hope, you know what I mean - I just don't know the correct term for this habit )
finally went to a toy store, where an old girlfriend works at the Lego-counter, and got some Lego.
And - rude girl, don't say Lego could be inappropriate for 22...35 yr. olds! I've used all my skills and experience to score a goal with my choice. Ok, maybe next time I appeal for a second opinion
