Calling all cars calling all cars

Those Phers who have been around for a while will remember that a couple of years ago I issued a Calling all Cars appeal for lots of lovely PHers to bring their noisy cars to my village carnival:

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=75247

Well, this year the carnival committee have asked me to ask you guys if any of you would like to join us again.

Its a very traditional village carnival, in a beautiful setting in the heart of the peak district
There will be a marching band, tea tent, wine tent, home made BBQ stuff, ice cream, stuff for kids, digger dancing ( ) and if the sun shines its just about the best place to spend sunny summer afternoon before adjourning to the country pub over the road for a pint.

Who's welcome? Everyone, and if you can bring a nice car to put on show thats fab too
What do you have to do? Nothing. Just display your car, answer questions from the village kids about it and enjoy the village carnival. Mind you, Last time Stainless Steve and I did end up giving a couple of lucky youngsters a taste of V8 wedge TVR power - in the pouring rain (one of them was the village policemans kid, and a few weeks later the policeman thanked me for frightening his kid to death!!!)
When? Saturday 24th June 2006. 2.00pm onwards
Where? Lea Green, Main road, Lea Derbyshire (I'll provide directions for attendees)
What to do next? - e mail me through my profile please so I can get a handle on numbers and make sure there is enough area for displaying those cars that need displaying

I look forward to hearing from you, and seeing some of you too!

Andy

If I am not on holiday and Miss Daisy isn't in for a re-spray then consider us there.

Wont know until nearer the time, but if myself and the wife are not working we will come along we spend quite a bit of time wondering around in the peaks anyway

Although its my pride and joy, and a little bit on the quick side to say the least, I dont think my S14 200sx comes under your heading of exotic or classic to be displayed

And if you've finished my engine by then...I might mosey down too

I might be a bit of a miserable git though as it's my 40th that day.

How could I miss a chance to see you dressed up as Henry VIII?

It sounds like it will be a lot of fun. Count me and Barney in

Do you have any pictures of 'digger' dancing? Sounds a bit 'odd' to me.

Don't seem to have anything else on, so should see you there. Will have to bring The Boy Fish which means two cars, so there will be an Atom and the Scooby

I should be able to make it too. I'll bring the truck along to add a bit of variety.

Nothing planned for that weekend yet, so if the weather's good (and depending on what time qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix's on ), could be up for a day out in the countryside.
