Got one .............. and no regrets about it either.

Didn't hurt (much!!) and raises a smile every now and then.

Are you Canadian?

Anyway, tatoos, some can be sexy on girlies. On men they are ALWAYS a bad thing (Unless you're a PHer with one, then they are fine )

I have one, on my shoulder. It didn't hurt anything like I was expecting it to. Although it is a reminder of my ex, I don't regret having it done, and am considering another one.

Unlike an ear ring or ponytail, it is not visible to anybody unless I take my shirt off ( & not a pretty sight).

I have one on my shoulder blade. It hurt like hell when the needle hit the bone....But it was worth it.

I spent at least 2 years researching and weighing up the pro's and cons of having a tattoo, I really wanted one but wondered whether i'd like it in 20 years time.

Well had it for more than a year now, runs from middle of my bicep right the way up to top of my tricep. Custom single colour design, quite modern looking pattern.

Well pleased with the result, but it's not for everyone and a lot of them are questionable designs. too many people just get one on the spurr of the moment imho.

It's actually not as painful as you think it's going to be, it's just like someone scratching your skin with a needle.

I have half sleeves, ie, from the top of my shoulder to just above my elbow. Wizards, Dragons, Castles, swirling smoke, stars, alsorts of mythical stuff. I love them, I enjoy getting them, I actually enjoy the discomfort quite a bit (Oh god, that makes me sound extremely weird!). It all started with a flash of a wizard and sort of spiraled out of control! You would never guess to look at me, it causes quite a stir when people find out!

Not a fan of tattoos on guys at all...However an old girl friend had a small sun thing at the base of her spine, that worked for me!
I have to say on women I am a fan,I worked in NY a few years ago & with a fellow ex-pat buddy we would go out on the lash trying to see as many young ladies tats as possible in an evening.Whether it is the english accent or exhibitionist nature of young American women, but they are very keen to show you their collection on the whole....Reccomended for a nights sport.

Is that a typo?

Actually, my GF has a tattoo at the base of her spine as well, something to do with her fave football team. (No, it doesn't say 'Leicester are arse'....

My daughter has something somewhere (against my wishes, but what the hell can you do these days, they grow up so damn quick and if you say anything, they get you carted off by the NSPCC, and then sue you for being an inadequate parent )

One of the women I work with (aged 42) recently had something tattooed on her: we're still trying to squeeze out of her what and where!

One of my mates was an undertaker: he had a huge tiger's foot on his upper arm. Had to watch it if he wore short-sleeved shirts in the summer, might've upset the bereaved. Somehow.

I think it's somthing to do with middle age.... [apply flameproof cream]

I've tried, but being totally inept with this infernal machine, failure was only to be expected.

Tattoos are silly. There are no valid reasons for applying permanent blemishes to the skin
