OK, following on from Steve Coogan's interview on TG and in TG mag, how nerdy are we all? Steve Coogan can tell the difference between a 993 and 996 by the sound of the door slamming.
Anyone got any similar skills?
I'll kick off by saying that I'm a dab hand at identifying a car by its headlights in the distance in the mirror at night. Sad.

I must a chief nerd, my job is using and teaching how to use computers, used to play role playing games enough said really.
Some skills:
I can help people down the phone on computers by describing what they are seeing on their screen (yes I know, sad)
I can write upside down (although I haven't practiced for a while) Used to do it during teaching. ie come in front of student write comments on their book/folder upside down so they could read it. (really sad)

I dont know where to start, cars are my passion. I can identify pretty much any car on the road from quite a large distance. I know off by heart a ridiculous amount of specifications for all sorts of cars, ranging from 0-60 times to fuel tank capacitys. I tend to remember pin numbers and such by linking them with cars stats ffs!!

It's not fair, I was going to say the lights thing before I even read it on miniman's post! 
I've doing that since I was about four for both froot and back lights. When I was kid I could tell the difference between a MkIII and MkIV Cortina oncoming in the dark.
That's pretty sad!
I also like to think I know how wide cars are and can place the wheels of any car I have driven within six inches. My proof being I never hit cat's eyes when changing lanes, and straight-line traffic calming, without slowing down
, where ever possible.
Just to prove how pointless it is, obviously.
I've scared a few passengers going through the whole "Six Mile Bottom Chicane Complex" at **+mph without so much as moving the steering wheel.

Cool! I do this as well (I live in Newmarket) and I love watching people wildy swinging their cars about behind me! Muppets.

I have to admit that after my work experience at Porsche I can tell the difference between a 993 and 996 by the sound of the door slamming.
I'm quite good with the lights, front and rear.
I USED to - when I was about 5 or 6 - know nearly every stat for every ferrari but as the years have gone on and I got less interested as more started appearing I've forgotten.
Not car related but I have a very strange habit of being able to learn song lyrics without really trying. I was in a band and learnt 7 songs off by heart in a week ready to perform at a competition. But ask me anything to do with times tables and I'm stuck, just couldn't learn them

However, car number plates present no problems for me to remember, nor do the 17digit alphanumerical chassis plates on cars.
Telephone numbers are also easy to remember, for me at least.

Yep, seeing as its the only one around the area it must be me!
I will look out for your Honda next time, and I only drive it at weekends now so you will be lucky to see me.
Oh and it says "godzooky", as in son of godzilla, aka Nissan Skyline!
