I don't think he was saying ALL TVR's were uncool, it's a wierd board and I personally don't take it literally, only you can be the judge of how cool a car is.

The TVR is on the same board as the Ferrari 360 - nuff said? - Personally I prefer TVR to be assosiated with Ferrari than a mondeo interiored aston.

Wonder why they didn't let Stig have a few laps in the MG? Has anyone actually seen this on the move?

Often wondered about this, lots of talking up and no subjective comments being made on it's 'Actual' dynamics.
I hope for MG and GBplc that it can live up to its hype and that it's not straight from the new labia school of spin .

Harry

PS Is it me or have nissan already been doing this car for the last n years, it's called the skyline

Hmmm JC called TVR UN-Cool based on trouser waist band height - he's a Merc driver.. OK

I suggest we take the average weight and height and age of each Merc and TVR driver and see the difference - assuming that the link to "un-cool" was based, as he suggested, on a typical stereotype, the one which has the oldest, fattest, shortest (this is not biased I'm 5"6’) ownership is judged the most un cool.

oh God too much stella again, i'm going to hit the "submit reply" button and probably wish I didn't

either way hope you all have a very merry Christmas

TVR's uncool? Hmmm JC had me re-adjusting the waistband on my Levi's, so I guess he had a point! However he did put the Fiat Punto into the 'cool' section a while ago so that pretty much says it all for me! Also, since when has JC been the judge of cool? Even Suzanne & Trinny struggled to make him cool! JC is the king however, and his opinion is valued in the Paceracing household even if he is wrong on occaision!
So i'm off now to sell my TVR and buy a Volkswagen Beetle Cabrio.................Or maybe not.

Was anybody else p****d off by the news section?

The boat sinking was new since the last show, but the race track for sale?

It was talked about here in the middle of September!

I can't remember what the other piece of "news" was, but I know it was something discussed within these hallowed forums quite some while ago!

The series has always irrated me, but the last show was just plain annoying. "Love this new Golf. Hate this new Golf. Love this new Golf..." Oh SHUTUP and lets see Stig driving. Thanks to 5th Gear for keeping a decent, trustworthy format without a studio filled with a crowd that look like prozac junkies.

The Radical did well, but isn't this down to the choice of small, tight circuit? At Le Mans, how long would it be before a car with a decent engine would have lapped it?

I have a tape of TG some years ago & the balding lanky curlytop with the ill-fitting blazer rated the TVR above all other sports cars. Also he did a full prog on TVR some years ago. Turncoat. He just opens his gob and says the first thing to rattle around in his empty head in order to irritate as many people as possible. One day he'll walk into a fist.
