At my school youth culture was clearasil and The Clash. A sad day indeed.

'The Clash' by the Clash is still one of the best albums I have ever heard: A ferocious bullet of an album with every track a belter...

I remember seeing him play live about 8 years ago. Great artist and performer. Another sad loss this year !

Anybody remember the 101'ers, the band he was in before the Clash ?

I remember seeing the clash at Sheffield Top Rank, in 1977, what a riot. Seats and gob flying everywhere.

Joe Strummer was also support to the who at Sheffield Arena and my god the years had not been good. Sounded like he could have kippered it at any point. I preferred to remember the clash for what they were and retired to the extortionately priced bar.

Remember kids, lots of stimulant abuse, fags and alcohol do not a long old age bring!

Bloody good thing too - the way pensions are going down and the retirement age being pushed back I'm bloody counting on it!!
