You can't basically... liveried up like that it'd only be any use to a props department.

I remember some guy in Slough had an escort with blue and orage strips and te word POLITE written down the sides the Judge involved could only ask him nicely if he'd remove them as it wasn't an offence of any kind...

I think I saw this car earlier this year at the Classic Car Show at Knebworth House (Hatfield). The guy was part of some kind of heritage police car club. He and his mates just covered the blue lights and drove their "police cars" home. In fact I am sure one of them was an off-duty policeman...

I always liked the Rover SDi and remember them racing the Capris in the late 1970s...

too right, I used to have one and it was one of the most comfortable cars I've ever driven, front end styling copied from Ferrari Daytona, good looking, powerful, fun to drive...........build quality of a Trabbant

The best advice I ever heard about buying a Rover SD1 is, always buy one with the most number of extras that you can find. That way, when your waiting for the AA or RAC you've got something to play with.

Edited to add .......... A set of Blue strobes would be an excelent toy to play with on the hard shoulder.
