Ted, forgive double posting but I want to catch as many readers as poss.

Joolz' car was nicked tonight - if anyone sees it, can you phone the police straight away please?

It's a white J Reg Cavalier with Joospeed - TVR Tuning and Performance written on the front doors.

Is the lettering on the doors done in paint or detachable stickers? If it's paint then the car will either be dumped or dismantled. If it's stickers they may remove them and drive the car for a while. We need to know about other distinguishing features, can you provide a fuller descrption of the specs please. Is it a performance model? I'm in Nottingham. Mike

I'm travelling through your neck of the woods tomorrow on the way to Worksop (Oooooop North, 25 miles past Nottingham to my fellow southerners). If I find the car I'll take the driver to the top of the highest local building for a chat and he'll voluntarily jump off the top.

Hey guys .. car found within a couple of hours, burnt out with the alloys missing in Handsworth Sheffield. The Sheffield and Chesterfield Police were very helpful and polite through the whole process and fortunately the Fire Brigade put the flames out before the whole car went up so I might be able to sell the engine and 'box before scrapping the rest, but the Joolzmobile is officially dead ... by the time the excess and recovery cost is paid I'll get virtually nothing towards buying a new car. The Cav wasn't much, but got me around the country and never once let me down, it had 119000 miles on it and was still going strong.

What is wrong with people... why can't they just leave shit alone... buggering people's lives up for the sake of a quick buzz and some wanton destruction?

Hope you get something sorted Jools.. there are some very worthy wheels out there for very little dosh these days so you should be able to get yourself mobile again pretty quickly..

Had to chuckle yesterday. My dad told me he's got his eye on a mint old XR4i for about a grand.

Sorry it happened to you but kinda what I expected would happen. Bad sign of the times I'm afraid. These arsonists should be made to rebuild burnt out shells from scratch, then they would learn a trade and offer something useful to society!

Joolz,
Seems in the end that things didn't turn out to bad for you.
Enjoy the BM
