Super Chips - Anyone put one in a diesel#?
Discussion
I realise that this site is dedicated to the sportier end of motoring, so even mentioning the dreaded diesel word is probably going to get me banned, but my family car is a Grand Cherokee 2.7 CRD (It's the same engine as in the Mercedes ML and very similar to the 2.7 diesels in thier C and E classes,) I wondered if anyone had "chipped" one of these cars ? and if so what were the results like, the adverts claim about 37 BHP and 40lbs of torque for about £500 - which seems like a bloody good deal to me ...... but the cynic in me says that anything that seems too good to be true probably is ....... I seek enlightenment !
If its a turbo diesel then maybe.
If not then no chance.
Superchips are less than brilliant if you know what l mean (in a totally avoiding slander type of way...) there are others that you may wish to try such as unichip if they do your car.
Providing you service your car properly and routinely I see no reason why it should explode if you 'chip' it. Just don't rev above 2500rpm... :kidding:
